1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rivise, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
Rivise is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students create flashcards, organize study materials, and learn using spaced repetition. Our service includes document upload, AI flashcard generation, and progress tracking features.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of Rivise, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Age Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Rivise independently. Users between 16 and 18 years old may use Rivise with parental or guardian consent. Users under 16 must have a parent or guardian create and manage their account. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their minor's use of the service.
Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions require a valid payment method. All billing and payment transactions must be completed by an adult (18+) who is the account holder or authorized by the account holder. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to Rivise. By uploading content, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content to provide our services. You agree not to upload:
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Illegal, harmful, or offensive material
- Malware or other harmful code
5. Intellectual Property
Rivise and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Rivise and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our AI-generated flashcards are provided for your personal educational use.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated systems to access the service without permission
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.
8. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with Rivise. Our refund policy is as follows:
- Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refunds are provided for partial months, but you will retain access until the end of your billing period.
- Annual subscriptions: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not used the AI generation features. After 14 days, no refunds are available, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.
- AI-generated content: Once AI credits have been used to generate flashcards, that portion of your subscription is non-refundable as the service has been rendered.
- To request a refund, please contact us at support@mail.rivise.app with your account email and reason for the refund request.
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.
9. Limitation of Liability
Rivise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our platform. Your continued use of Rivise after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
